I heard about this and even though I had NO time to read the whole thing I began to read. I was drawn in all the way to the end. Great story – definitely new era content. You are a writer girl! I had to comment and say how much I loved it even though I still have NO TIME to do so.

We adults often forget how incredibly hard it can be to reach out to someone who is not popular at school. This was very courageous; you’re my hero!

Thank you for sharing this beautiful story. I’m glad to know there were teens like you who were strong enough reach out to the Lindas. I was an awkward, unattractive, and unlikeable teen, and while I felt gut-wrenching empathy for other girls like me, I was too paralyzed by fear to reach out, even to those who were worse off than I was. I fantasized about being brave enough to do exactly what you did, but never had the guts to risk sacrificing my own tenuous position. Four decades later, I’m still haunted by that failure.
