I am blessed with wonderful Assembly of God in-laws. He has taught me many things, and perhaps I have taught him a few things, as well.

One thing that my father-in-law says that he admires about us is the respect we pay to the Almighty. He continues that too many Evangelicals treat God as if He were their "Cosmic Buddy." While He IS their (and OUR) Friend, He is also God--and He deserves to be treated that way.

I think we would all be better people if we sought out the praiseworthy in other groups--and emulated them. I recall Norman Vincent Peale stating that if all of Christianity were to emulate the Mormons on just tithing, we all could pretty much put Satan out of business. We also could emulate Dr. Peale's optimism--what an antidote it is against cynicism!

It never ceases to amaze me to see people like Bill Keller, who identifies himself as a Christian, yet acts more like a donkey. Incredible!

I am blessed to have wonderful in-laws who happen to be Catholic. I enjoy learning from them and admire them for their faith in God and Jesus Christ. They are examples of true Christians.
